Introducing the Cadillac Escalade IQL
On Wednesday, Cadillac made waves in the automotive world by unveiling the highly anticipated Escalade IQL, an extended version of its electric full-size SUV, the Escalade IQ. With a starting price of $132,695, this new model is designed to cater to those who seek both luxury and functionality in their vehicles. The Escalade IQL is set to begin production this summer at General Motors’ Factory Zero plant in Detroit, with deliveries expected to roll out for the 2026 model year.
Enhanced Comfort and Space
The Escalade IQL stands out with its elongated design, measuring a total of 228.5 inches in length—an increase of about 4.2 inches compared to the standard Escalade IQ. This added length translates to enhanced comfort for third-row passengers, who will enjoy an additional four inches of legroom, bringing the total to 36.7 inches. Moreover, the redesigned C-pillar and the elimination of the sloping roofline contribute to a more spacious and inviting interior. Buyers can choose from various trims, including Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport, although detailed feature lists are yet to be revealed.
Power and Performance
Under the hood, the Escalade IQL shares the same electric powertrain as its standard counterpart, boasting a robust 205-kWh battery that supports DC fast charging. This impressive setup allows the SUV to gain 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes. While Cadillac has not yet disclosed the exact range for the IQL, the regular Escalade IQ can travel up to 460 miles on a full charge. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivers a staggering 750 horsepower in Velocity Max mode, enabling the Escalade IQL to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 4.7 seconds. Additionally, it offers a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds, making it a versatile choice for adventure seekers.
Luxury Features and Technology
Inside the cabin, the Escalade IQL is a tech lover’s dream. It features a stunning 55.0-inch-wide digital display, which includes a 35.0-inch combination of a digital instrument cluster and central touchscreen, along with a 20.0-inch passenger screen. For those who crave an elevated audio experience, a standard 21-speaker AKG sound system with Dolby Atmos is included, while an upgraded 38-speaker setup is available. The optional Executive Second Row Package enhances luxury further by replacing the second-row bench with two individual seats that offer 14-way power adjustments, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. This package also adds dual 12.6-inch entertainment monitors, ensuring that every journey is enjoyable for all passengers.
