The atmosphere was electric at the Buriram circuit as the MotoGP season kicked off with its first practice session. Fans filled the stands, eager to witness the return of their favorite riders. Leading the charge was none other than Marc Marquez, the new factory Ducati rider, who quickly established himself as the one to beat. With a stunning initial lap time of 1m29.592s, Marquez set the benchmark for the rest of the field. Challengers emerge
While Marquez showcased his skills, the competition was fierce. Franco Morbidelli from VR46 made a strong impression, finishing the session in second place, albeit nearly two tenths behind Marquez. Morbidelli’s performance indicates that he is ready to challenge for top positions this season. Meanwhile, Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo, a former teammate of Morbidelli, secured an encouraging third place, demonstrating that he is still a formidable contender in the championship race. Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi and rookie Ai Ogura finished fifth and sixth, respectively, showcasing the depth of talent in the current grid.
